May 11, 2006·I didn't realise it was a self-cleaning oven until AFTER I sprayed cleaning spray in it. The cleaning spray just smeared all over the inside and the oven looked worse then it did before. So I ran the self cleaner (which ours lasts 2 hours by the way...so don't run it right before dinner) and it got rid of most of the smear.
